Verizon Wireless makes DROID 2 official, online tomorrow, in stores on Thursday
A fresh press release from Verizon Wireless has just made the Motorola DROID 2 official. You can buy yourself a Motorola DROID 2 online — at verizonwireless.com — starting tomorrow or pick one up in stores on Thursday, August 12th. The phone will ship, as reported, with Android 2.2 and have Flash 10.1 pre-installed. AT&T, Verizon Wireless have 62% of U.S. mobile subscriber base
A report filed by FierceMobileContent is filled with some pretty interesting statistics about the U.S. wireless market. According to the report, AT&T and Verizon Wireless raked in 75% of all mobile data revenue in Q2 of 2010 and account for 62% of the U.S. wireless customer base. Mobile data revenues grew 6% quarter-over-quarter (22% year-over-year) to $13.2 billion. Pew: Adults More Likely to Text and Drive Than Teens
The average teenager sends 1,500 text messages each month, but when it comes to texting and driving, adult Americans are more likely than their younger counterparts to send messages from behind the wheel, according to a new study.
About 47 percent of adults who use text messages said they have sent or read text messages while driving, the Pew Internet & American Life Project reported. A September 2009 study from the same group found that 34 percent of teenagers aged 16 and 17 reported the same behavior.
