I looked at the image information for a picture I took of my wife and son using my Q. Then I looked at the information for a typical Windows background, what I found is that you need to resize your picture. Then copy it into your picture file. Once you have done that you can view the picture and set it as a background. The image information I found using Paint Shop Pro is as following. Size 1280 x 1024 Image size 9.77 x 7.82 inches 131 pixels per inch and 24 / 16 Million colours. I tested it using the Stonehenge image that came with Windows 2000 and it works.
