I read somewhere the name that they'll advertise it as is the Q2.
I've noticed several changes in the keypad already, I'm wondering f the Moto-Q9's keypad is any good. There isn't ay space between the keys, I'm not sure how much the layout for the alternate symbols, the keys are larger, I do like the design of the Moto-Q9.
From what I understand they're considering making two versions, a CDMA as well as a GSM.
Kinda wondering about the GSM, i now it's got better battery life, buthow will the processing speed and the interne connection suffer? I'd really like it if it ran aot faster, I've been having troubles with my Q lagging quite a bit, especially when I'm typing and especially in the address bar. I need something with a much faster processor, really. And I need to be able to allow several programs to idle while I do other things, so I'm hoping for more RAM.
As for the battery, well, I don't have too much of a problem with my battery as is, I just make certain to have a charger with me all the time, because I'm heavily using my Q 95% of the time, and moderate usage the remaining 5%, so I'd have to have a charger anyway. I have the Energizer charger that uses two AA's and is advertised as lasting for 3 hours on a CDMA device, and I keep four rechargeable AA's with me at all times and buy a couple packs of Non-rechargeables when I'm going to be awa from wall outlets for extended periods. So no real problem wit battery life for me.
The whole thing about it having a dimmer function... people, that comes with the Moto-Q8! Just go to: Settings-->Power Management and setit up from there. I prefer having the settings at:: 5 seconds/1 minute/2 minutes and it seems to work well.
I'm also hoping that the Moto-Q9 will have BlueJacking capabilities as well as Wi-Fi, but I dunno.
I'm not goig to be able to upgrade until September, and if the Moto-Q9 is out by then (When is it estimated to come out?) I'll upgrade that line to the Moto-Q9 and check it out, but since it IS on a different line, I'll have the Moto-Q8 and the Moto-Q9 both, so I'll have to compare them a bit.
I'm wondering though.
Does the Moto-Q9 have only a microSD slot, and not the miniSD the Moto-Q8 has? That would be a strong negative point for me, no way I'm gonna buy a new card, I already have a MiniSD!
I made everybody waitng for me at Wal-MArt mad today. 'Cause they have the digital picture printers there, I just jammed my MiniSD i and hit the button for 1 copy of each photo. Problem was, I had 219 photos, and it took almost an hour to print them out at least! Fun stuff. =]
