A screen protector is indeed a must-have. It will keep the Q's screen from becoming scratched. Smudges will happen whatever you use. Just wipe it off.

Search eBay for "jazz sd600". You can buy a 3-pack of protectors for $6.74 shipped. I use "SD600" in the search because I have an SD600 camera and I know it has the same size screen as the Q, and in fact I am using an SD600 protector on my own Q. Any protector made for a 2.5 inch screen will fit the Q's screen.

Did you get the one that covers just the screen or one that covers front and back? Would be interesting to know how it looks on one of the black Qs with the rubberized texture.
