I am concidering trading in my Bluetooth Motorola HS850 for a different model/make. I find it to be to quiet (not loud enough to hear if there is any background noise) I am certain I have the volume all the way up on the headset and on the phone (Motorola Q, of course).
I'm not competely certain if the settings under "Audio Enhancment" / "Headset" affects the Bluetooth headset or just tethered headsets, but I have set the "Headset" Bass and Clarity on the Q to 5 and the surround sound to zero. But it's still pretty quiet in my opinion.
I was wondering if anyone else has this same opinion, or is it just my ears? I know from borrowing a Jabra JBT500 that the "in-the-ear" style headset may be the way to go. Anyone have anything to comment about the JBT500?
Thanks,
i had the same problem. i went with the jabra jx10. it works great, same in the ear design but with-out the around the ear look. it just clips on and goes in the ear. check it out on jabra's website here
I'm also having the same problem. I have maxed the volume controls on both the moto q and my H850. It's too low, you could barely hear the person and, it's ridiculous! Although something with an exact fit like the jabra would work but I'd rather use my current bluetooth (H850). the same bluetooth i have it's been working great when i had verizon. Now that i have Sprint the service is good but voice quality via just plainly sucks. Does anyone have any hacks or tricks on boosting the volume settings on the headset?

I too had a Motorola HS850 but it was not loud enough to hear in a moving car, so was worthless to me. I replaced it with a Plantronics Voyager 510 which comes with a selection of earbuds, one of which fits perfectly into my ear and so effectively gives much louder listening than the HS850 which only comes near the ear.
