Thumbs up Love My Plantronics 655 Headset

I have been in search of the perfect Bluetooth Headset and I may have found it (at least for me). My main requirements are:

Light Wheight and Comfort

I have tried dozens of headsets and always bought where I could return them. The type the hang off the ear, always hurt my ear as did the similar clip ons that Nokia makes. The larger Plantronics and Jabra that fit entirely around the ear seem comfortable at first, but after a while the weight and parting seam (the line from molding the plastic) would irritate me. I thought I liked the AX2 from Bluespoon as it fits in the ear, but the rubber ear gel is hard and becomes uncomfortable over time.

The Plantronics 655 has a very soft eargel and an optional wire hook that helps hang it off the ear. With the wire hook on, I can still wear sunglasses so it is superior to any of the plastic ear hooks that are big bulky. The eargel is very soft (3 sizes) and does not have to be jammed into the ear as some others do.

The unit has great volume and bunch of charging options. To charge it, you put it in its case. The case has a clip (like a ball point pen has), and will vibrate when a call comes in (if the headset is in the case), pulling the headset out of the case, results in answering the call.

The bottom of the case accepts the AC charger, or you can add a little attachment that lets you use the MotoQ usb cable for charging. Finally there is an AAA battery holder that you can plug onto the case for charging. I think it will charge the headset 2 trimes.

I have worn this for hours and it is still comfortable. The sound quality is great on both ends too.

I bought it onlin at NewEgg for $69 plus $5 shipping. Even though it could not be returned I decided to take the plunge based on other reviews. I am not disappointed.

okay i had that ear piece and it went back after three days... it is a very comfortable earpeice b ut the draw backs are... it does not have 10 hours of CONTINUOUS talk time... it might let you talk for maybe 2 hours and then it needs to be recharged... personally i like a continuous talk time... and to recharge the battery either you had to be home because they dont make a car charger for it or you have to invest in aa batteries.and you can not use rechargable batteries in the travel charger that looks like a pen... you have too many parts to carry around and if you lose just one little removable peice you cant do anything... so when i took it back i got the plantronics 340 same concept and a long use 8 to 10 hour talk time again and again and its all continuous talking not stop and recharge talking...
