I knew there was one that worked out there just couldnt recall what brand or kind.. great now i can order some for my many q customers and alpha i spoke to a user over qusers.com and he said he has a working 4gb card, so maybe there is some hope
.k. it's the AM and checking Memory Manager now shows:
Card Storage: 3.78GB
Used: 3.73GB
Free: 57.16MB
It's mostly audio, one compressed movie, and a couple Word files. I can open and play everything perfectly.
So much for the myth of the non-functioning 4GB card in the Motorola Q...
A post from the qusers.com forums...dont know if its true but dont see why someone would tell false tales of something as petty as an SD card...lol anyways i ordered one and it will be in my store tommorrow.
Nolan,
So did you order the same one from e-bay as the guy from Q users or did you find one some where else? I ordered the same one from e-bay. Not sure when I'll get it but I'll let you all know as soon as I get it and test it out.

Yeah he gave me a link to where he ordered his, so we shall see how it works out and yes please do let me know how it works out for you. You might be getting yours before i see mine, i accidently did not pick overnight shipping so its going to be 5-7 days.
No luck for me, this card did the same thing the SDHC card did. Needless to say I'm not happy right now. Plug it in and shows up as unknown in the phone and the computer don't see it either. Unless there is some special thing I need to do to format this card. I'm done.
Hi guys just to let you know that I bought a memory from this guy on ebay, and works pefect w/ my sprint Q just needed to format to FAT32 before I used with the Q
Hi all, I bought the MotoQ about 1 week ago at the Verizonwireless store. They told me 2 gig was the biggest, but then one of them said , no, we have a 4 gig. I had just come in that day... Here is a link that tells all about it.... SanDisk | Corporate | Press Room | Press Releases
I couldn't get it to recognize it and was told by Verizon that a Phone software upgrade was to come out in a day or two to fix it.. Nothing yet.. Bit at least I know how to get to use it now, thanks to this forum... Late all
If it doesn't recognize the 4GB MiniSD card now, a software update is NOT going to fix it. The link you provided was for a SanDisk 4GB SDHC microSD card. One, the Q uses MiniSD cards, not microSD cards. Two, it will not read an SDHC card. The hardware is not compatible and no software update can change that. Sounds like someone was doing some major talking out the arse to get you to buy that card, which is useless to you.
