I have been using a 4 Gig Mini SD for several months now just fine. Just one issue. You cannot take out the chip from the q and insert into a PC because the PC wont read and will ask you to reformat it. Unless someone has a fix to that, otherwise everthing else is fine.

Problem solved for me

I have a Motorola Q9M with Verizon and bought a San Disk 4GB SDHC mini SD card from Verizon as well. I had a previous 1GB mini SD card from my previous cell phone which worked well on the Q, and worked well with the San Disk USB adapter that I had been using as well. Now I try the 4GB card with adapter in my PC and it didn't work. It works in my Q9m but not in any other device I had that supports SD cards such as my Treo 700wx, Nikon digital Camera. I went out and bought a SanDisk Mobil Mate SD+ adapter and now it works in my PC. It also works with my 1GB micro SD card. Problem solved for me. The adapter was available @ Best Buy for $16.

Welcome to the forums.

The Q doesn't support HC but it sounds like the Q 9M does. Thanks for the information!

I have a 4gb Toporam Mini SD in my WM5 Motorola Q. It was working fine untill I reformatted it with my pc like an idiot (Fat32). Now everytime I install a program to my sd card it works fine untill I do a soft-reset, then the program will not run. But the phone recongnizes the 4gb Card like it should. Any Suggestions? I tried Hard Reset, no help.

I just figured out that you CAN use a 4gb mini HC card with your Q (posted on Qusers) - just Download and install the SDHC driver (CAB file)

worked Great on my moto Q!
