Blue Some Q in your Car

Since the introduction of FM transmitters and tape inputs to the market of “Portable Media”, I have been hooked. I’ve gone from forum after forum in search to the perfect solution to enhance my experience while driving. Until recently I have felt like I have been living in the dark ages. Finally, I have found a partial solution to my quest of great portable sound. In my search I have found many obstacles and dead end streets.
My objective was to have a device that I have with me all of the time, with media capabilities, communication ability, and still have a cool factor. With that said, the Q, small, powerful, and accesses the world.
Next I wanted this device to be able to function in my jeep as nicely it does in day to day life! Lets face it driving around is a big part of the day if you are in the city. I did not want to make it obvious to everyone around that there was something going on in my jeep other than look’n sweet as a jeep does. I did not want to ditch my OEM head unit. So I went out spent a hundred bucks on an “Aux2car” unit (by Peripheral). This plugs into the CD Changer port on the back and allowed me to stream with a wired line (if you are having issues with finding an adaptor for plugging it into your Q, get the adaptor Verizon sells, it is a little pig tail with a standard headphone jack on one side and on that fits into the Q on the other with three bands on it). If you stop here you will not be sorry. It’s about it 10 times better then a FM Transmitter.
So after I got the auxiliary port, I wanted to clean up the look with getting rid of my leash. It just sits around when you are not using it or gets tangled up around everything. I started looking into the Bluetooth option. I looked and looked and finally found the Motorola DC800 Bluetooth Home Stereo Adaptor. This is designed for home use but Motorola are the Gods of “Functionality”! It is powered with the same charger as your Q.(mini USB) Cudo’s to “HelloMoto”. I took my car charger for my Q and added an extra Cig adaptor to have dedicated power! Sorry, I am anal! This really helped out with removing things plugged into the dash (keep it clean).
Now I hop in, pair with the unit and Stream Internet radio, MP3, and watch porn with Stereo Surround Sound! Ah Yeah! That was the ultimate goal! Porn! Isn’t that always the goal? If you get call it pauses, and goes to an earpiece (yes you can have 2 devices paired at the same time! It’s great) or to the phone speakers. Call is done, it goes back to your tunes! Highly suggest “Grove Salad” on SomaFm.com….

Anyways good luck! If you have any questions or comments! I am around!

I will get some Pics this weekend(nonporn)! I was going to take some as I started but that would have been then smart thing to do! I have to hard wire the extra power adapters (cig lighter port) this weekend and will have to take out some dash so I will post back later. It is the next best thing to having a CarPC. On that note, check out http://www.cartopc.com They will soon have a unit that will interface with media player (wm5) and mass storage devices. I could not get alot of help from there tech support but they have beta testing at low costs.
