Well now that you have RCA inputs you can get a Motorola Bluetooth receiver. It works great. It is designed for home use so it actually pumps out a strong signal. The beats hit had as well. Schoche's unit was small and ****ty. There was not enough thought put into the processing power required to convert Digital signal to anolog with stereo quality. Motorola has mastered this.
That's some great tips bjshively! My car's 6-disc changer also has a tape deck (yep, tape) so I can use a tape adapter to listen to my music. It's not a pretty sight, but it works flawlessly!
The Motorola Q's A2DP Stereo bluetooth Profile is compatible with a lot of new aftermarket headunits(cd Player) and it gives you the ability to stream music directly to the headunit in digital stereo. Not only is it wireless but you can control the music on your from the head unit in your car so you don't have to control the music from the q like you do with fm transmitters. and it sounds better than tape adapters and fm transmitters. As always tho. being directly plugged into your Q by Actually plugging it into an input on your headunit is the best sounding option for the audiophile.
As for bluetooth having its own processor and sucking? Bluetooth was designed as an ultra low power consumption close range wireless technology so that your Q which has an already horrible Battery life won't go dead in an hour like your laptop does! Bluetooth has made it possible to network mobile devices in a way never before possible. and has unified the mobile market towards one goal. To Share!
Here are a few models that I've considered for myself go see your local stereo shop and ask about head units that stream bluetooth Audio. If they know their stuff they'll know what your talking about. if they don't walk out and go to the next store because you don't want them selling you a product they don't understand. Hope this helps a bit.
