the only problem is some of thoes are not folders on my phone. for instance on the first code HKLM/SOFTWARE/MOTOROLA/BPCTRLR/WAVEDEV there is nothin that says basegains in that location. this sort of thing is what happens with all 3 codes and therefore none are useable on my q9h.im beggining to get desperate
if anyone knows how to change the volume on a q9h for wmp and the master volume with a registry key please tell me!!!!

Man i am still looking.I just got lead to this thread from google.
I have a better view of this now.I obtained a screenshot from a mobile registry editor. This screenshot is from a Q9H registry and I can clearly see that none of those registry folders are present inside WaveDev.I am very familiar with 99% of the registry keys and subfolders on Q's and Q9M's + 9C.There are quite a few folders missing on Q9H.And there are tons of folders there that dont exist on any other Q phone.afrothunderizer, your not alone on this volume issue.I found quite a few others out there with this problem and nobody seems to know the answer.
On most Q phones, the audio processor is done through a motorola or possibly Intel chip.So the keys for this are found in the Motorola subfolder. Now the Q9H has a different chipset. The main processor is an OMAP.But I dont know yet what the audio processor is.There is most likely some other folder (Not Motorola) that would have some keys for sound processing.Either this is the case or the audio has a stack of code written in a dll file somewhere with preset settings.
wow you are really tech savvy! basically what i am understanding is the q9h has different setup and use of folders. which means that not everything will be the same the other q's. is there any chance that it is this way because of the fact that it is wm6 and not wm 5 ? i hope that you can find the file that these audio codes would be in thank you verymuch for even helping this much . atleast i know im not blind !
It's not a WM5/6 difference.WM6 runs on a Q9M which I have.It has more to do with the internals of the Q9H being allmost completely different. If I had a Q9H in my hands...doing a little research in the registry I bet I could find more than enough to adjust the sound settings.But....since I cannot see everything in there aside of the screenshot I have...well you get the idea.
Yeah. But thats a lot of screenshots. There's a simple screen cap program here. And if you have a registry editor/viewer such as PHM or Resco.Resco is a pay app but it works much better than phm.
ok i have a registry editor that works on my computer also its not resco or phm but its easy enough for me to use and i could take large screenshots of the folders if that would work.ill have acess to a computer later today but for now im just answering you on my Q
