I have a Moto Q 9h. I bought it about 3 months ago. I am using an hp laptop with XP. I have Outlook 2003 with contacts from much earlier versions as well as fairly current contacts. My phone has lots of sim contacts (from my previous Razr) and several contacts entered as Outlook contacts. I have set up Outlook as my default mail program but actually use OE for e-mail.
I can sync the calendar in a matter of minutes both ways.
If I set up Active Sync to also sync the contacts then the whole process seems to hang (saying that it is syncing) and I eventually (after several hours) end up disconnecting the Q with nothing transferred in either direction.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I didn't think I was a novice until I got my Q. But I really like the things that I can do with it.
Maybe one or more of your contacts is corrupt. Try creating folder and moving all but one of your contacts to it. If it works try syncing a few at a time.
