This is not my file, but I can't add any more comments to the original post, so I thought I'd try to make a new one with more in depth instructions on how to properly install it with all the functions usable. The following is instructions I emailed to a friend and I thought I'd post for the good of the MotoQ world.
Download .zip attachment to your computer and extract. DO NOT try to extract the .cab files on your computer. Copy the three .cab files to your phone via ActiveSync Browse to the files on your phone and install “JRulez OHSP Orange Plugin.cab” first Next, install “iQv3.cab”
Now, browse to settings>home screen. Change the following: Home screen layout: iQv3 Color scheme: orange Background image: Default
YOU NOW MUST RESTART YOUR PHONE FOR IT TO WORK PROPERLY
All functions should now work except Candlelight “Backlight” and Notes. To make the “Backlight” button work, browse to the candlelight.cab file and install. To enable “Notes,” do the following:
(The following is applicable if you use DocsToGo as your text editor. If not, you can browse to your personal text editor and follow the same directions)
Connect your phone to your computer. On your computer browser, browse to \Program Files\Documents to Go. In another window, browse to \Application Data\Home\iQv3 With the RIGHT mouse button, drag the file “WordToGo” from the first window into the second window, and when the prompt appears, select “create shortcut(s) here” Now, in the second window, rename the file “WordPad.” I changed mine to “WordPad2” Rename the file “Shortcut to WordToGo” to “WordPad”
Now when you click on “notes” on the home screen, WordToGo will open.
It's a mobile document editor/creator. It allows you to create and edit Word, Powerpoint, an Excel docs, and view Adobe PDF files. Look for it in the downloads section under Productivity or Utilities. The newest version is available for a charge, but there's one here for free.

All files easily installed and working perfectly....One Question.
I use and have configured Lotus Notes. When you click the email button, it defaults to Outlook. Understanding you can click Menu | Switch Accounts to get to a different account (Lotus for me), how can I make it default to Notes instead of Outlook?
The main problem (other than the aggravation of having to switch accounts everytime) is that it won't display new message count on the home screen icon because it's only looking at the Outlook account which doesn't exist.
I might try removing Outlook from the phone's list if possible thereby giving it no other option but to default to my Notes account.
I have downloaded everything, but where do i drag and drop the three .cab files, and also i tried putting them all in my documents, and when i installed
JRulez OHSP Orange Plugin.cab
it said it was sucessfuly installed, but then when i try to install the iqv3.cab it automatically says " JRulez OHSP Orange Plugin.cab installed successfully", and mind you that when it says this my phone sort of freezes for about 6 seconds, and than it goes to the homescreen
BioCYTE, on my phone, the outlook is where the default email icon shortcuts to, but the message count changes when I get an email to my gmail IMAP. I would assume it wouldn't be too hard to change what account the link shortcuts to, but I don't know of a way to change the message count if you use a 3rd party email app. I'll look into it and get back with you.
student1,
Which phone do you have and how long have you had it. Also, you may try restarting the phone after you install each .cab file, and then again when you change the settings.
erezse, the directions above should still work for you, you just have to create the correct shortcut in the iQv3 folder, and then rename/name the files properly. Did you figure out how to sync files to your phone. You have to click explore in the ActiveSync window or browse on My Computer.
This is a great homescreen and your instructions are pretty good, but I may need a little more clarification on creating a shortcut for documents to go & Cal-lite.
Can you assist with providing the file extension that I should be moving over into the iQ3 directory? The only file I see that has WordtoGo is an executable. When I try to move the file into the iQ3 directory is doesn't.
Is this because I have installed the app (Documents to go) on my SD card? Or is their another file extenstion that I need to move over?
All you need to do is use your phone's "File Manager" to browse to the cab files on your phone. Most likely, you copied the files to the root folder, so they should be right there in the folder/file list you first see when you first start File Manager. Simply highlight the file you want to install, then push the select button on your phone (the silver bump in the middle of the four-way cursor) to begin installation. You will be promted by each cab file to take action. It's straight forward, so just follow the instructions. Most importantly, be sure to follow the installation order instructions above.
hi there, this skin is awesome. I really want to change which applications some of the icons link to. I thought it would be as easy as copying the iQv3.home.xml file and changing the action bolded below to go to whichever application you want. This has not worked.
Hi, I have a motorola Q 9m. On my phone the calculator button does not work and I have been trying to find the docs to go i only have documentstogofonts in program files. Also this version doesnt really work well with the thumbwheel. Its very nice tho
Thanks
How to get your Calculator and Word To Go to work if your programs are pre-installed on your phone.
On your phone while connected to your computer browser, browse to \Windows on your phone. In another window, browse to \Application Data\Home\iQv3 With the RIGHT mouse button, drag the file “WordToGo” shortcut from the first window into your desktop. Now, in the second window, rename the file “WordPad.” I changed mine to “WordPad2” Rename the file shortcut on your desktop from "WordToGo” to “WordPad”. Copy the "WordPad" shortcut to the iQv3 directory. Now when you click on “notes” on the home screen, WordToGo will open.
You can repeat the same by renaming the "Calc" shortcut to "Calculator".
Just Installed it on my Phone and it works Great I love it... ThanKs alot... It was very Easy to Install Thanks to the Great Instructions... All the Key Function works well with Mines... Best Download for IPhone Skin Yet...
