Hey everyone. Ecuarican here saying hello. I just got my Q about a week ago and usually don't read manuals from start to end. I was wondering if anyone knew exactly what the icons at the top were. Like the (1x) (Ev) (the crosshairs) ( and the pda icon). What do they mean?
I cracked open my manual but still cannot find the icon that I keep seeing which is a phone receiver with an exclamation mark...anyone know what that means? Also...EV and IX? What do they mean?
The phone icon with the exclamation is a missed call notification. If you see that hit the green call button and it will have that missed call. As for the EV and E1, I am assuming you have a Sprint Q, that is EV (EVDO) which is the high speed web on the phone and E1 is when you are not in a EVDO area or there is a problem with the network.
thanks so much for the quick response! One other question - I have a voicemail icon on the top now, and it says "new voicemail". I've called my voicemail 4 times, and do not have a new voicemail, yet the icon persists. Any way of getting rid of it short of downloading the new motorola patch?
If you have checked and all your messages...text, voice, email...and they are all empty I dont believe so. That was why they did the update was to add that function among other things. I now quite a bit since I work for a cellular company.
I have a battery indicator status icon that shows the battery box w/ no bars in it and a small "X" in the upper right hand corner of the icon.
Anyone know what that is?
