Power Management settings stop working

After setting up the power management settings (30 seconds for battery mode) and (1 minute for display) - it works just as I set it. If I lock the Q and then unlock it, the backlight then turns off after 1 second. I go back and check the power management settings and they are still set where I left them, but it still turns off the light after 1 second. So I change one of the settings and then change it back to where I want it and choose "DONE" - and then the backlight time works like it should again.

Last phone did this and I called verizon and they said it was a power management software issue and sent me a new phone. I just got the new phone setup and everything was fine again until I locked the phone and then unlocked. It turns off the light after 1 second again.

Something I am missing ?

- David

Additional Info: I use Sprite Backup software. So when I got the new phone I restored my phone settings using the Spite Backup - which I just now realized is probably restoring the problem somehow. I never had the problem until I used the Sprite Backup Restore. I will go post in their forum.

when the phone is locked, it disregards the power management setup...its designed to be "locked" so that when the keys are pushed it will go dark after 1 second but should only do this when its locked...after u unlock it it should go back to its normal features. So when ur typing ur unlock code or turning off keylock as long as your are typing fast enough it sequence it shouldnt go black unless you are slow ... hope this helps. If it is doing it after your phone is unlocked then i would double check your settings to make sure that you are setting everything properly.

It had something to do with the back-up program . I got a replacement phone and when I restored the old data, the same problem occured. Did a master reset and everything worked fine. Had to redo all of the programming, but no problem now. David
