I copy a song with duration of 30 minutes to my Moto Q GSM, and use it as ringtone for my incoming sms. the problem is, the ringtone keep playing even when i've read the sms.. it won't stop until it finished.
ussualy (with other handheld) if we receive an sms, the ringtone stop playing when we press the key.
yeah.. 30 minutes is a heck of a long time to play a tone!! LOL.. I'm sure you meant 30 seconds, but still yes, 30 seconds is more suited for a ringtone not an alert tone. Try making a custom tone to let's say.. I dunno... 2 seconds?

not sure, my guess is that probably because the alert tones behave differently than ringtones. Perhaps they cannot be set to turn off with a keystroke.
