Updated links. I have extracted the cab file from the original setup file and uploaded it to our downloads section. You can find it here. Enjoy Mac users!
Thanks for posting Tim!! I just tried the hack and it works like a charm.
Go Q!!!
random thought: So let me get this straight: Verizon says this isn't possible b/c they want you to come back and pay an extra $15 a month for this functionality???
I got unlimited data for a month just to try it out and see what it would be like...needless to say i don't like it so I went ahead and did this...and when I connect the phone physically doesn't dial anything it just stays the same but it does change the little tower looking thing where it shows my signal to two arrows along with adding a mini pda icon to the bar also...connecting this way won't charge me for the data I use like connecting with data right on the Q?
Actually... it will charge you, probably overage fees now since you don't have the unlimited plan anymore. You need to have the unlimited data plan to make sure you don't get charged anyhting extra. The two arrows means that it is connected and using EVDO (data). I hope you didn't use it too much before you have found this out!
Thanks much Tim. It was working just fine...I got connected and received an IP from VZW. However after about 20 seconds the connection is broken with the following error message:
"Link to {connection name} failed. Connection re-pending..."
