Thanks much Tim. It was working just fine...I got connected and received an IP from VZW. However after about 20 seconds the connection is broken with the following error message:
"Link to {connection name} failed. Connection re-pending..."
Then I get a redial option and the same happens.
Any ideas?
hmm... how is your signal strength? That is a bit odd, have you tried this procedure on another computer?
Awesome write up. I'm sure this will help out alot of people around the office. Glad to see there someone online bringing so much to the Motorola Q community.
Everything is installed on my motoQ - rasco and reg updates - unfortunutely when I dial ##342587, the phone actually attempts to phone that number. Any hints?

Did you do a power cycle after updating the registry?
ahh... that might be the problem. I have a Verizon phone so I'm not able to confirm this issue with the Telus Motorola Q. Any other Telus users out there that can't use this hack?
Can someone confirm the download speeds they get using bluetooth DUN and the Q???
(and say whether you are in NYC or "another" area).
Thank you for your help!!
Actually... it will charge you, probably overage fees now since you don't have the unlimited plan anymore. You need to have the unlimited data plan to make sure you don't get charged anyhting extra. The two arrows means that it is connected and using EVDO (data). I hope you didn't use it too much before you have found this out!

I talked to the VZ people today and they said that they don't/can't offer the $15 a month tether option for laptops even though I would be willing to pay for it (I want to use the Q honestly). Oh well, I guess its just the unlimited data plan until I get booted from VZ ...
