I've got a question, just saw at the other website discussions on everythingwm.com and some pips there have tried updating their Q9h to wm6.5. Does it really work? or is it possible?
hope i can get some feedback from you guys. thanks.
No one has yet successfully ported WM 6.5 to the Q9's. In my opinion there is a very low probability that this will happen.

It's the 5th post down... Like coolpoete I do not think it's up and running, but you might want to check this out....WM 6.5 STD -- i want it in my Q9 :P
I'm already update my Q9h to Wm 6.5. if someone need it i can upload it
It looks real...link for MOTO QH 6.5 WM ROM Public - Windows Live... I have not tried this USE CATION
It's quite easy. First make sure you have an unlocked Q9h. Then please do the following steps (remember do it at your own risk):
1. Install Motorola usb drivers
2. Install RSD Lite.
3. Download 2 files skiwi uploaded, and extract it. You'd get an sbf file.
4. Make sure your phone battery is fully charged. Turn off your phone.
5. Turn on the phone while pressing * and # key. You'll go to the flash mode w/ black screen, then plug the phone into your PC.
6. Run RSD Lite, open the sbf file, press Start button and wait until you get a PASS message to unplug your phone.
Well I've downloaded the files to flash a Qh to the Chinese 6.5 ROM. I thought I'd try the upgrade.
It seems the Qh uses a differant data cord. I dont think I have one. The Files seemed to download ok, but I cant get a usable copy of part 2. OH well I guess this will have to wait. IF ANY ONE GIVES THIS A TRY LET US KNOW HOW IT WENT
Thanks for the link Thomas!
yeah, it will be a good project for someone who can spare to possibly brick a Q9. It will take a lot of cooking because they are taking a European ROM that won't give you a 3G radio and limited bands as to which carrier it will work with. Now they are trying to add pieces to the puzzle so what you'll have is a frankenstein-like unstable ROM where only bits will work, esp. since Motorola is not officially developing anything for these phones anymore. I can forsee them possibly getting it to work for AT&T's Q9H.

I see you point. I do have an old AT&T Qh not hooked up. I would rather not brick it. Without service I wouldnt know if it really worked anyway.
I tried three times to get part two of the download, but when extracting it reported an error each time. Putting all that aside, I dont have a USB cable for the h anyway. THANK coolpoete your insights are really helpful.( By the way the WIKI is really handy. I know that took a lot of time. YOU"VE DONE A GREAT JOB )
