cause I don't know if the phone will be able to be activated on US networks. You may want to check that out before you spend good money on it. Looks like from the website it can be activated on T-Mobile and AT&T GSM networks.

you can activate it b/c i've seen one in the wild in dc but i wouldn't recommend b/c if you need a wi-fi phone there are so many more or you could get a gsm motorola q if it is what you want.

Ive seen it work in the us, an unblocked phone.
That's exactly what i'm aiming to buy so a could swap sim cards if I want it too.
It is a nice phone, and since I adore the Qs series... :-)
oh! if I dont get that Q, I might get a HTC ozone/snap (arent they the same?)
Yes it will work ,but remember if you have any problem w/ it . The only support is in portugese for it.But other than that it seemed to be a great phone. If you are looking for the features I would advise getting it if not take a look @ this Motorola Q Unlocked GSM Phone - Black - Q - Black by: Motorola - i have one for when I get tired of the blackberry or the size of my q9h.

jr3650sp makes a good point. If you are going to need support you won't get it. Especially for instance if you go overseas and swap the card and something doesn't work. The biggest difference you are going to see is that memory and processor speed is vastly different which will make a difference in your everyday experiences in the way apps work and if you are going to be browsing the internet. The battery life on the Ozone is also much better. The HTC has more memory and a stronger processor. Here is a technical comparison. The Samsung Saga is also a solid world phone.
I can also attest that Verizon's international service is very good. My wife has a BB Storm and we traveled to my home town of St. Maarten earlier this year. The phone worked pretty flawlessly, picking up the GSM networks there with ease and getting good reception. We even got data service so were able to browse the net while we were there. Didn't do much of it of course because we didn't want those extra costs but Verizon provides toll free numbers for support and what not so it was a good thing we had it. We even got my XV6900 to work somehow and I could send/receive calls on it to the US but the rates were very high so I didn't use it but again, nice to know I had some kind of service even though my phone is not an international phone.
