Question sms alert tone?

just another small question:

is it possible to set a custom sms alert tone?

Yes it is. However, if you create your own ringtone (say a favorite song you edited) make sure it's not that long because the ringtone will sound all the way until the end of the song.

Basically, make it short

I agree. Just for kicks, I downloaded the ol' 'You've got mail...' wave file from AOL, saved it as an Mp3, then saved it to my Q. Under Settings/Sounds, you'll be able to choose a Custom Message/SMS Tone.

for some reason i can't see any of my ringtones in the sms alert list.

Where do you store your ringtones? They're suposed to be in \Application Data\Sounds or \Storage Card.

i had it in \my documents\ringtones

stuck it in \application data\sounds and it works! thanks!
