I don't have any problems charging my Q9h when plugging it into a computer, but when I try to use my usb auto adapter or usb AC adapter, the phone does not charge. The same chargers have no problem charging other usb-charged devices like my bluetooth headset. Anybody else experience this problem?
I've checked the voltage and current on the various chargers that I'm using:
1. The AC charger that came with the Q 9h works and has an output of 5 volts and 850mA (0.85 Amps).
2. The Belkin cigarette lighter DC charger that worked with my Treo, but doesn't work with my Q 9h has an output of 5.5 volts and 700mA (0.7 Amps).
2. The iPod AC charger that works with my iPod, but doesn't work with my Q 9h has an output of 5 volts and 1 A. ***This one should work with no problems.****
There are only 4 pins in the usb connection, 1) Power of 5 volts, 2) ground for the power, 3) data and 4) data.
The only theory I have at the moment is that the PC and the AC charger that came with the Q 9h do something to the data pins to tell the Q 9h to charge.
