Q9h not syncing to pc

i keep attempting to connect to my pc via usb and it keeps poping with

[cannot connect with current connection settings. To check your connection settings, select start, then settings, then connections.

What does this exactly mean I"m kinda a noob sorry

When you check the settings like the error message says to do what do you see?

Make sure your firewall allows the connection. You can also disable or allow all traffic. Mine was preventing me. I'm not sure how to tell my firewall to allow, so I have been selecting "allow all traffic" while synced. Just remember to turn it back on after sync is complete.

I went through the trouble shooting on the windows website and added activesync to my firewall and its tellin me to check the connection settings on my phone as of now my connection settings are
(GPRS-media net=connect to [internet]
access point: wap.cingular
user name: WAO@CINGULARGPRS.COM
password:*************
authentic type: chap
primary DNS:0.0.0.0
secondaryDNS:0.0.0.0
ip address: )
PROXY
connects from: internet
connects to:WAP network

type:http
USB DEVICE TYPE:active Rndis




is this the correct settings????

Yes, these are the same setting on my phone. I know you said you added activesync to your Firewall, but just try turning it off and connecting. I added it to my Comando Firewall and it still would not connect...until I manually selected "allow all traffic" and it connected instantly. So in my case I did not apparently add it to my firewall settings properly. I am going to have to play with it some more, because turning off my firewall every time I want to sync is not cool.

I did the master reset and master clear and even uninstalled and reinstalled activesync on my computer and still nothing../ this sux

Try changing your USB Device Type: to "ActiveSync Serial"

it's connecting now but during the process an error pops up and says(your internet connection is not configured properly. Please verify your settings in connections.)
and its still showing the same code as before[cannot connect with current connection settings. To check your connection settings, select start, then settings, then connections.

Start -> Settings -> Connections -> USB to PC -> Check "Enable Enhanced Network Functionality" if it is not already checked.
