Is this just for listening to music? Does it work with a wired headset with a mic. so you can answer calls?

Depends on where you bought the adaptor.If it's a standard adaptor you got at say Radio Shack,then the answer is no.Those dont have the extra pin on the end for the mic and you'll have audio issues.You have to get one that's made for a phone with a stereo output jack.

It's the one that came with the phone. I tried to use it with the comm system on my motorcycle but people I call can't hear me.
