Text....

Hey... I know this is probably a noob question... but I did a search and didn't find anything.

I was wondering if there is a better way to handle texts, it seems like it takes a lot of menus to view texts and text back compared to one click on my old phone. Another thing I hate is going threw the menus just to view the sent box. A lot of times somebody will text me back the next day with an answer to something and it is just annoying to get to the sent box.

Another thing, is there a better way to get the the task manager? I read that you save battery life by killing programs when you are done with them. What button do you have to hit to close out the calender and stuff when you are done using it? I try to just use the back button but when I go to the task manager it's still running. Does it close the program out when you hit the end call button?

This is a nit-picky kind of thing, I just didn't know if there was an application or registry modification that could change this.

Another quick question, does you guys down button on the directional pad feel less responsive than the other directions?

Thanks a lot!

- Josh

I just turned my right soft key into the task manager, and renamed it "Kill"
You should be able to do it through the "personalize my q" setting.

Then how do you quickly get to your contacts?

I guess I just wish there were more programmable keys or something.

There is also a registry hack to change the menu command you get when you hold the home key.

I changed mine to task manager, I like having my right soft key.
