Battery/Phone charging issue

Okay I have a "concern" about my Q9m. When I charge it I never see any indication that charging is complete. Whether I charge it with the phone off or on. I do notice that when I leave it on and charge it that after a while I see the little battery icon but instead of the bars there's a little x. Anybody have this same problem?

umm.. that's a little weird. I get an icon in my far right that shows that it's plugged in. Then when it's complete there's a screen that comes up saying charge complete.

I don't get any kind of screen. I just take it off the charger for a while. How long does it take for your phone to charge??

You sure you are using the correct charger for your Q? I gotmy car charger as part of a toss-in package deal when I bought my Q9M.When the phone is off and its plugged in,a screen with an animated battery icon shows up while charging.

Funny thing that happened to me last week....couldnt say if it is anywhere related to this.I use my car charger often. And especially when I'm on lunch at work and browsing the web etc.I plugged the charger in and all of a sudded a window pops up saying something like "Windows has detected an incorrect charging device.Use of the wrong charging device may damage your phone"..I dont remember the exact words used.I unplugged it and plugged it back in 2 minutes later.Same message pops up again.I suspect the charger is starting to output too high a voltage possibly. The phone gets hotter lately.

And today i was on the web ..had the phone set down for a minute..go to a couple web pages and notice the front keypad side is quite hot. Then the phone all of a sudden restarted on its own.I suspect the charger again.

Has anyone seen or used a car charger that can give the phone a substantial charge in about 15 - 20 minutes of drive time? I'm not looking to charge my phone completely in that time but there has to be a better one than the one Sprint gave me.

I'm using the correct charger. My car charge broke so I haven't been charging my phone in the car for a while. I'm using the charger the came with my phone. I've noticed this problem for a while. I bought my phone brand new online. The problem you stated above happened to me when I test my boyfriends charger on my phone. He has a blackberry and when I used his charger I received that message. However using mine I don't receive that message so I don't think it's the charger. I don't know, should I contact Motorola or Verizon? Verizon, at least the one here, don't even like to deal with you if you didn't buy your phone from them.

I've seen several around my area. You can go to Wal-Mart or even quickie stores and they sell Motorola car charges some for under $10.00. Just read the package and make sure you can use it on your phone.

Lightbulb Problem Solved!!!

Hey guys I took my phone to Verizon today (well yesterday) and told them about the problem I was having charging my phone. They gave me a brand new battery and told me to go home and charge. Well I did and no my phone notifies me when charging is complete. Simple solution. I was glad that it wasn't my phone. What was crazy is the tech guy tried to tell me some phones don't notify you when charge is complete and if my phone is working fine I shouldn't worry about it. I told him this phone is suppose to notify you when charging is complete and I am going to worry about since I paid about $300.00 for the phone. That was crazy because because all phones notify you when charging is complete, it may be a beep or a screen pops up but I know if notifies you. Anyway I just wanted to let you know the problem was solved.
