Ok .. its not for me, for my lady friend.
She doesnt like any of the colors in the phone..
She wants it to be pink or purple, and we have tried downloading themes, but they are not changing the color of it, nor are they giving any more options in the color scheme.
They are changing the colors of the text and such.. but not the start menu.
Please help.
when downloading themes, ensure that the one you download, don't need any plugin's i.e orange facade etc, and ensure everything is set to default....
If the theme changes the buttons it will do this automatically....
I've posted a link to a beginner's guide to creating homescreens on Modaco several times that I think is excellent. I'd give the link again but I'm on my Q. Search the forums for it.
I registered at Modaco back in january. That was before I found this site.Users over at Modaco don't seem to know jack about Moto Q's.They are geared more towards HTC devices.
Mtg..what is your username over there? And what editor did you use to write .xml files? Just Pocket Notepad? I'll search the forums shortly here.I'm curious if that covered the code for displaying how many messages in the sms/mms inbox etc.
Funny,I was in the proccess of writing up an .xml how-to post just before michaeljng posted about Facade.I scrapped it due to the fact I was writing way too much.Writing a document describing hexidecimal code contained way too much info for the average user that just wants to change the start menu color.I cant write without being too technical about something. What seems normal for me to understand,is like technical jabber that doesn't make a whole lot of sence..................in short ... "What?"
Unless you absolutely KNOW what your doing. There is by the way,a homescreen settings control to change the background image for the start menu.No hack needed.
