I previously had the Q9C, but had lost it and received the 9m as a replacement through the insurance plan.
Is there anyone that can offer me some help/tips on what I should do with it right away before setting up my phone? Meaning, going over what my phone has and what needs to be updated and adjusted. There's SO much information on these boards. It's quite overwhelming. I'm trying to read through as much as I can. But would definitely welcome any suggestions for setting it up.
Welcome to the forums. That's a bit of a broad question to answer, it depends on what you want to have done. There's lots that you can do to it but it may not all suit you. Take your time, look around, there are plenty of third party applications in the downloads section, look through the tweaks and I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to add to it.

I was just wondering if there was an absolute MUST DO on the phones before I get started. Like if there were any fixes or upgrades that experienced users like yourself, would recommend asap.
So if there's nothing in particular I should do, I'll just make a cup of tea and read through everything tonight.

No, I don't think so.. you can check the tweaks thread and see if there is something you want to have done. I did a couple of small things here and there.
