I love my new Q but I am having problems syncronizing it with Outlook. I have a large file in outlook and that may have something to do with it, but I hope someone can help shed some light on it.
The first problem I had was in the length of time it took to syncronize the file. I only sync contacts and calendar and I started the sync Saturday morning and it continued working through Sunday night. Yes, over 36 hours. At last, it finished and I thought the delay was a result of first time sync.
The next time I connected my Q to the computer the process started again and I had to stop it two hours later. I had not made any changes to either file, or computer between the two events. I did not even turn either the computer or the Q off.
I'm sorry to hear you are having troubles with your Q and Outlook. 36 hours is definetly too long to sync! Is your Q directly connected to your PC via USB cable (i.e. no USB hub or anything like that)? Also, do you have any firewall programs? That could be an issue as well. Let us know so we can help you out!
I spent WAY to much time trying to figure out.
Go to the Motorola website and update your phone! It takes more than an hour but like magic, POOF! syncing works perfectly.
I did it from my PC but the website states that it can be done straight from the phone.
The Q was introduced prior to outlook 2007 so naturally it doesn't work without an update.
