Hey PaulB!

It's known that the max volume of the earpiece isn't quite a true 100% with media player. Try setting both the earpiece and media player volume at 100% and see if there's a difference. It's worth a shot, eh?

Wink

earpiece is a misnomer. When you are on a call or on speakerphone and you turn up the volume, the screen calls it "earpiece" volume even when coming out of the speakerphone.

I too thought the volume was low when playing WMP. While it is playing if you push AND hold thumbwheel until "earpiece" volume is displayed, then turn the thumbwheel it will crank up the "earpiece" volume. This worked wonders on listening via headphones.

HTH!

A

another thing you can do to raise your volume is to go to
Start---> Accessories---> Audio Enhancement
Choose either Phone Speaker or Headset and set all the values to 5.

HKLM\Software\Motorola\BPCTRLR\WaveDev
look in BaseGains and InCallAudioGains
AND
HKLM\Drivers\Builtin\IPM
Change BBOWMVPlayback but not higher than 81 because that is full volume

Call Volume:HKCU\controlpanel\soundcategories\ring
change INITVOL
