Speakerphone issue

Hi all! I just got my Q yesterday, and so far, I've been pretty happy with it. However, I'm having an issue with the speakerphone, and I wanted to know if it was just me, or a design flaw.

When on the home screen, I tap the speakerphone button to turn it on. I make a phone call, and after that call exits I go back into the "normal" profile. I would have to hit the speakerphone button again. I find this a bit annoying, as I would like to have it stay in speakerphone mode until I exit it. Is anyone else having this problem?

Thanks

ajrosen

Cool

OK; I've had my Q for a couple of months. Same behavior The way I see it is selecting Speaker Phone via the menu while on a call is a one time selection. It does not change the profile. To set the speaker phone to on all the time, you have to select this from the available profiles. I also do not like this behavior but at least I finally learned.

There is a quick key to go to Speaker Phone On during call. While in a call, hit the "speaker phone" button - most bottom right button.

I think this is by design... You don't want to answer on speaker phone when your buddy says "Hey F*** head!" or the recruiter calls to offer you a job and you are at work.

I personally can't see any reason for a speakerphone default profile.

I can tell you that, on my Q, I can tap the bottom right speakerphone button and leave it like that so any call i make or answer starts in speaker phone. It is not a profile that carries across power cycles, but it does turn speakerphone on all the time.

My 2 cents,

A

OK; I've got one for you. In some profiles, plugging in a wired head set, the phone ignores the headset and will not switch to it. Drives me nuts as I'm trying to talk into my headset and then have to scramble for the phone. What gives?
