My Q is great and was syncing fine with Outlook until the last few days. I receive this error message:
A critical error has occurred. ActiveSync can recover from this error, but the next time you synchronize, you may lose changes made since your last successful snychronization
Support code: 0x86000209
I've tried resetting my Q and resetting outlook. ANy suggestions on what I could do to fix it? Your help is appreciated.
Thanks,
what do you mean by "resetting Outlook"? I have had issues in the past with Outlook and ActiveSync. Going into task manager and killing the process for Outlook and ActiveSynce would not resolve my problem, but a reboot wood.
I don't believe in rebooting to fix problems. But when all else fails there is not much left to do. If you reboot your PC and still have problems, you could try a master reset on the Q. It is extreme, but when all other avenues fail, you really have no choice.
By resetting Outlook I mean shutting it down and opening it. I also tried resetting the computer and resetting the Q. I did a Google search on it and it actually brought me to this web site. I checked some other web sites and it doesn't seem like they had the same issue I did even though it was a similar error message.
But ultimately it works now for some unknown reason. I stopped syncing the Q for a few days because I had this problem. I just thought I'd try it again for the heck of it and it worked. It did loose all the updates I made on my Q, but luckily that wasn't a whole lot. Now it seems to be working fine for no good reason.
