8GB Mem Card

Hello All,
New to MQF but been with ModMyMoto for a while modding ROKR E6's.. Never used a smartphone before and I just bought a Q with a bad ESN just for modding purposes.. Curious as to whether anyone knows if this one is capable of reading an 8gb Memory card?

It will be an adapted transflash.. I hear 4gb have no problems, but the 8gbs are new.. My ROKR E6 supports full size SD but the 4gb are SDHC which do not work.

So anyone with any insight, plz lemme know

*************
And if ya feel like it
anyone wanna give me some pointers to using/modding the Q.. Havent read up too much yet since I dont have the phone in my hands just yet.. But anything you think I sould know before getting started.. Dont even have to tell me in depth, just something I should research

Another Request:
Is it possible to put Mobile Windows 6 on the Q.. Would like the ability to run JAVA..

Welcome to the forums!

The 4GB cards work with the Q so long as they are not High Capacity (HC). This is the first time that anybody has asked about an 8GB so that's uncharted territory.

So far there has been no WM6 for the Q.

FYI--there is an cab file that allows the Q to access the SDHC cards. A few people have used it with success. I am expecting a SDHC 4gb and 6gb any day now to report results.

We all know they work for the new Q's but they were talking about the original.
