Cool New theme changed background on Start menu

Hey all,

Hoping someone can shed some light on this.

I installed a new theme, a XML file and a jpg, and now my background when I access the Start menu, has horizontal bars spaced apart using one of the color for the theme. Its k, but when I change to another theme, the bars change colors and sometimes its too dark to properly read the icon titles.

It happens anytime I select Default for the color scheme. It goes away if I select some other color scheme; ita almost like my default settings have changed to a different background.

Can anyone give me some advice to change this back to a standard plain ol white background?

thanks in advance!!

Welcome to the forums!

Most of the time you should pick the following when choosing a home screen.
  • Home screen layout: Name of theme
  • Color scheme: Default (because this is set by the theme layout file)
  • Background image: Default (because this is usually specified in the theme)
Sometimes a theme can be a little wild. Experiment with different themes until you find the one that's right for you.

So, there must be something in these XML files that is changing the background since the default themes that come on the Q don't do this.

Ok, thats good to know. Now I jsut gotta figure out what part of the XML file is causing that change.

thanks for the point in the right direction

I'm on my Q or I would provide a link. Search the web for "HTML color chart."
