OK, I have renamed the "Silent" profile to "Vibrate" and set all notifications to Vibrate. Incoming calls and new emails result in the phone vibrating, when set to the "Vibrate" profile, but I get nothing on new text messages. Any one have any idea why this might be happening. FYI - this used to work fine, just started happening recently and I can't figure out why. I have checked all settings that I can think of. Must be missing something.

Hmm.. this is all I can think of:
- make sure that under your profile, "Notification type" is set to "Vibrate"
- make sure that "Request delivery notifications" is checked. You can go to Text Messages > Menu > Options > Account Options > Text Messages > Request delivery notifications
Thanks Jane! I had just changed (turned off) this setting a few days ago, too. Don't know what I was thinking.
Awesome! Glad it worked out then... It's a bit cumbersome with so many different settings in different places... but then again, I guess that's why the Q is great as far as flexibility. You win some and you lose some, eh?
