ive read a lot of stuff all over the internet saying that wifi might be available soon.. or maybe by late nov/ early dec
i want to know if ayone knows FOR SURE or not?
if a wifi card will for sure not be available anytime soon (1-2 months) im just gona get a xv6700 with built in wifi (but dang, that thing is twice as thick)
any comments? someone help me not to get rid of my Q, i like it too much
newphoneeachmonth, welcome to the forum. I have seen a wi-fi enabled miniSD card by Spectec but the moto Q doesnt supply enough voltage to power the wi-fi. Hope that helps.
i read about the lack of voltage. i also heard that if u keep ur phone plugged into the wall, you would be able to use the wifi card. is that true? because if it is, maybe the extended battery can help out
also, i heard something about DUN.. not too clear on what it is or how it works, but i was told that you can call ur cable/dsl company and get certain dial-up numbers and passwords, and be able to use your pda to go online and you would be using up ur minutes like that.. can anyone comment on this?
Im not sure about the phone being plugged into the wall or having an extended battery will work, but it might. I don't see why it wouldn't. Someone should try that out.
