Bluetooth serial port

Does anyone know how to enable the bluetooth serial port profile (spp) on the Q? I'd like to use a bluetooth gps unit but without spp I don't know how this will work . The dun registry hack mentions spp but it didn't fix the problem. Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks

those verizon guys put a restriction on SPP (basically they disabled it on the Q) so that we'd have to buy services from them that are similar to those using SPP.

Moto Q Bluetooth Serial Port

I spoke with a Motorola Tech Support person at the recent CTIA show in LA. He claimed the problem was NOT due to Verizon, simply an error, and that it was apparently fixed but not yet released.

Can anyone confirm that??

We have a Bluetooth accessory that we want to "port" to the Moto Q, but there is no sense us trying if the SPP does not work.
