I have read this all over, a problem w/ the original moto Q charging. I think I have the original (the one in the pic on the banner above) It is running WM5. I just recently got it, because I never knew I could use it on Alltel prepaid until a CSR told me. Anyways my battery died last night, I tried charging it forever but it would not work. I would turn it completely off, plug the charger in and it beens to the charging screen, about a minute later it shuts off.. i do this over and over again and nothing. I turn the phone on, plug it in and it shows its connected, but about a minute later again it shut off. My mom has a motorola phone, i switched batteries and decided to charge it in her phone, so that's how I got it charged. I tried a master reset, and nothing is working. Is it a software issue? I have read some places that it is, but I haven't found software to actually fix this.. so that's the only method I haven't tried.
Any ideas? I am thinking about just sending this phone back (I have a 30day warranty on it) and purchasing the newer version of the Q (any recommendations on the best?).. but until then I need to get this one workable. I know this is a common issue, so please give me some tips
