Hi Jules. I seriously doubt the 8gb card would work, assuming you could even find one at a reasonable price. According to Motorola, the Q supports up to and including 2gb on a miniSD. I suppose it's possible that they have secretly included support for 4gb, or will allow it but at the time it was untested. That leaves the 8gb kinda out in the cold.
Actually the 4 GB does work on the Q. You just have to make sure it isn't the high capacity which does not work. I haven't seen anything out on the 8 GB card.
I don't understand. If the manual says it'll support 32 gb, why wouldn't it support 8? Also what's the "high capacity" card issue? I would have imagined the capacity is determined by how many gb it can hold. What's the difference between high and low capacity cards if they each can hold the same given amount of memory?
