OK, I have no clue if this is the right forum, but what the heck....someone in here might know.
I own the Sprint Q9c, and drive a 2003 Buick LeSabre Limited, and I'd like to add bluetooth technology to my car, but NOT that hidious speaker thingy that motorola sells on their site. My car has the Concert Series II surround system, and I was wondering if there is any way to have some sort of aftermarket bluetooth receiver connected into it to make phonecalls over my car's speaker system or to also stream music directly from my Q9????? I'm getting the Lucerne in May, but the LeSabre will be my weekend car so I want to make sure that all of my toys/needs/wants get installed by then.
And finally a bluetooth receiver. Probably your most complicated yet reliable option. But also, this option that gives you the most clarity and least amount of head-aches. Motorola S9950 Handsfree kit
These are great options but it is also why people still talk on the phones in their cars. No one really wants to spend $200 on this kind of stuff??!! I don't think carmakers are interested in making SIMPLE and inexpensive solutions for those people driving Corollas. They would rather have you buy an expensive car with microsoft sync or Onstar. I guess we have to have someone famous die in a car accident from talking on the phone before someone passes a bill to mandate the technology in every car.

Well, as I've mentioned, it's not a cheap car, it is a Buick LeSabre Limited. I wouldn't just use it to use the phone hands free, but to also stream music off my phone (I have about 400 songs on my phone's memory card right now). My car does have On-Star but I'd have to incurr the additional expense of adding minutes to that in order to use it as a telephone. PLUS, the LeSabre is going to be used as my weekend car starting this spring, when I get my new car.
Hmmmm, I was scouring through my message and don't recall mentioning anything about a BBQ. Sounds to me like someone is paranoid and wants to avert the threat of a BBQ happening.
BUT, speaking of which....can't wait to pull out my BBQ and start throwing some Steaks on it.......the first day we break 75F outside, I'm Q'ing (in more ways than one)
