Does the Q9c need any other software to be used as a Modem or is it just connect it ,change some settings and away you go ? I would like to try this out be i thought i would ask first.
Hook it up to your computer through the USB when the phone properly syncs to your computer open up Internet Sharing (I dont remember where in the start menu Internet Sharing is located cause I removed it from the menu) make sure USB is chosen as the Pc Connection and Cellular is chosen as the Network Connection and hit connect and it should go through. i had to use it yesterday at work cause our computers when down and disabled our ability to put orders thru, so I plugged my phone up to my desktop computer and was able to run TinyTerm. 1 of 5 computers wasnt bad but it still stopped us from having to shut down and go home.

All went great but The Q kept saying waiting for network connection and i could not get online with my laptop. After the Q was connected to my laptop. I set it to usb connection and cellular but the Q just displayed waiting for network. Ill mess with it some more . Yours just connected right up ? hmmm i must be leaving something out.
I downloaded PDANet and plug in the phone to the laptop using the sync cable and away I went. Be aware though that your service provider may charge you extra even though I not sure how they would tell the difference between using your phone on internet explorer and using your phone as a modem.
