I don't think Pocket Internet Explorer can do it. I don't know if any other browsers (like Opera) can. I was hoping that someone who uses one of them would jump in.

naw, I've done it beforeut I master reset my " and now it won't save the pics to my phone. im not sure what I did before but im trying to see if anyones eactly what to do to save pics from the net to my phone
I have the same exact problem.I was able to save some images off a website as long as the picture link is only a picture and not with ad's or other material.Save image doesnt appear otherwise.Now..I was trying to save images off Google images.Every one of them windows says "Unable to save file".How irritating.Especially when my Q is the only means of geting on the internet.
yea, see that's how I saved my pics. I knew it wasn't just me. can someone tell us how to fix this cause im trying to get a new picture for my home screen.
