Thumbs down Help with SD card and media files...

Okay this is probably a stupid question but I'm not too familiar with my Q yet. I uploaded about 25 songs into my SD card but when I try to play them in media player, they are not in my Library of songs. I actually have to go to File manager and then go to the Storage Card file and play the songs from there. How can I add them to my library? The reason I didn't syc them straight to my phones memory is because I'm out of memory in my Q so that's why I uploaded them to my storage card. Thanks for any help...

Did you already try updating your library?

I have the same problem. Also, and I don't know if this is a another topic all together, everytime I pause a song and exit the player it starts the song over . It doesn't save the spot where I paused it.

When you're in Media Player, click "Menu" (Bottom Left) --> Choose "Library"

On the next screen, when the "Libary" list appears, click the "Menu" (Bottom Left) again --> Scroll down to "Library," click the right arrow button, and choose "Storage Device"

Click "My Music" --> Click "All Music"

You're music files should appear.

yup! And I just found out last night that when you add more songs, it doesn't automatically update the library so I had to update it again like mentioned above.

  1. Press Start then Windows Media.
  2. If the player appears then press Menu then Library.
  3. Otherwise press Menu then Scroll to Library. Press the Right Nav key.
  4. Choose My Device or Storage Card.
  5. Press Menu then Update Library.
  6. Press Done.
