yeah I think it might be the user though...I know it can be done just I don't know how. This is my first time trying this but I won't give up just have to research more. Thanks again man
Hmm dont know what to say. I guess Sprint must really have some heavey duty lock down on their phones. the B@stards
yeah they do, i was just down there today. they explained their locking process... each q is locked with a different code... its ##(6 random digits)# send
I tried many of these programs like Resco and Power Tools for Windows Mobile Smartphone and I couldnt get to the registry to hack and make some of the simple upgrades.
I searched on google about an article and came upon the Mobile Registry Editor. It lets you go directly to your Q after you connect it to your computer via USB.
I did my hacks, and BOOM! I changed the cache to speed up my Q, changed the shutdown and startup screens and changed the Start Menus to List form.
OMG this program is awesome. I just found it myself and was floored that it actually freaking works. I can edit my Q's registry with my PC's screen and keyboard.. nothing to install on the Q at all. And best of all, it is FREE!
Couple of things I did learn... You have to have .NET 1.1 installed on your PC for it to work (or .NET 2.0 if you are using MRE 1.2), and you have to be connected to your PC via ActiveSync. I connect via Bluetooth so I had to initiate the connection via the phone, but one ActiveSync was connected, MRE worked like a champ. This is a MUST HAVE app. Forget paying $xx for Resco and wasting precious MB on your Q.
