To those who want to know how to run Fullscreen on the IBM version:... click Menu ----> Tools---->Settings----> here you need to scroll down and check mark full screen. Also below selecting http over socket imrpoves images from what I noticed.
Also to the person not having luck installing because of the web address the address is NOT m...dvance.us.jed BUT it is mini-4.0.9751-advanced-us.jad
Hope that helped. Also anyone know if Opera Mini can run flash videos (so that it transfers over to TCPMP???
You're article was a good read but I have two issues:
JBED is the property of Esmertec. The website you provide the download link from even admits that it is an OEM "hacked" version. See: http://www.winmobiletech.com/092007M...tyAndMain.html. On that page you'll find a link to Handango where you can buy a legitimate (older; not OEM) version of JBED for $50!
I installed JBED and gave Opera Mini a spin. The install was much much less painful than installing the IBM Java MIDP20 but that's where the fun ended. The quality was awful. Even after I set the quality to high and the font to largest the screens were still hard for me to read on the Moto Q.
In the end, it doesn't really matter to me because I won't be using Opera Mini on either JBED or IBM Java MIDP20. Opera Mini was nice but I can't afford it. I have an unlimited data plan but not unlimited minutes and Opera Mini uses air time only.

Does Opera Mini really use airtime like as if i was making a phone call? b/c That would be gay really really gay.also how do you know it uses airtime and not the data plan like internet explorer?
I'm using JBED on my Q9M and got Opera Mini to work pretty quickly. The way it works once installed Opera Mini acts like a sub-program that runs through JBED. Once you run JBED you can see the list of java applications you have installed on the phone like a menu and you just run them that way.
In essence if you understand the way Nintendo emulators work on a PC or on your phone it's the same idea. You can install the .jar files to your memory or storage files.
