Did you keep the folder structure intact when you extracted weme-wm50-sp-arm-midp20_6.1.1.20061110-161633.zip? Did you create \J9\MIDP20 on your phone?

yes I did, however the weme-wm50-sp-arm-midp20_6.1.1.20061110-161633.zip file that I have is slightly differently named because I downloaded it recently and I think they might have changed it.

heres my file locatoion:
C:\Program Files\IBM\WEME\runtimes\61\win-x86-midp20

and the file name:
weme-win-x86-midp20_6.1.1.20061110-161633.zip

When extracted I have:
-FOLDERS-
bin
doc
examples
lib
-FILES-
buildinfo.xml
copyright.txt

inside the "bin" folder I have:
emulator.exe
j9.exe
and a bunch of other dll files.

I tried to copy all files from BIN into these folders
\J9\MIDP20 on my phone and
\J9\MIDP20\bin, both didn' work

Initially, opera starts up just fine. I open emulator.exe then choose opera. It would ask me "Can Opera Mini use airtim to send or recieve via http connection until Opera Mini terminates?" and I would say no. Since I have internet on my phone already, the browser works just fine when I say no.
However, just recently, if I say no an error will come up. Error reads:
Failed to connect to the Internet
900
java.lang.SecurityException: access to
javax.microedition.io.Connector.http denied by user.

You don't need to have an IBM machine. Just click the things I say to in the instructions. There is a registration but it's no big deal.
