Everything I know about the Java Emulator is what I wrote in this guide on how to install Opera Mini 4. Assuming that you are running the same IBM Java Emulator that I was then you would do the following:
  1. Open File Manager.
  2. Browse to \J9\MIDP20\bin.
  3. Open emulator.exe.
  4. Press install.
  5. The URL you want to enter is: (location and name of jad file).
To install the Opera Mini application I pointed it to a URL but I've heard that you can point it to a file if you want. For example \Storage Card\Pacman.jad.

I hope that helps.

No, Its not that all. You did a great job. But is Opera that good of a web browser? My I.E. just seems sooo slow.

There are some differences and in my experience it's good to have both. Some sites navigate better on Opera Mini than on IE, so I use it as an alternative browser. Opera Mini loads pages through their server or something like that so that the pages load faster.

I've also used Opera Mobile 8.65 which has some small advantages like opening multiple windows but I can't say that it's faster.

Arghh. Now it says when I try to load a page, Failed to connect to the internet. Go to operamini.com/help with your desktop browser or contact your service provider for internet settings.
I guess I will do as told and go check out the help section.
