battery life enhancing registry hack

I am looking for a registry hack that can disconnect EVDO to enhance battery life. someone talked about it on a Amazon review page. He mentioned quesers.com but I could not find it there.

Any help?

I found a few tips to enhance battery life from other forum. I turn off the infrared receiver. It noticiably enhances the battery life. Another enhancing is to turn off bluetooth if you are not using it.

mad3963 - to turn off infrared, go to Start > Settings > Connections > Beam > make sure "Receive incoming beams" is unchecked

Also, a couple other ways to save battery is:

1. Make sure that bluetooth is off when not in use - Start > Bluetooth > Bluetooth Manager > Settings > Select "Bluetooth OFF"

2. Shorten Display time out - Start > Settings > Power Management > Display time out [this ranges from 5 seconds to 10 minutes, or Never]

This post has came up many many times on qusers.com and here...the bottom line is you are not using a Razr or any other normal phone...the battery life is NOT going to last as long due to the power of the software its runnning. I think many people are really confused on how long the battery should last. If your are using ur Q frequently for just calls throughout the day, mine will usually last anywhere from 9-12 hours (depending on signal) if im pushing alot and using web i can get around 5-7 hours if im playing on it alot. So dont be scared if your battery isnt lasting 24 hours, its not meant too...if you want longer battery life i would suggest stop trying to find a way through the software or the infamous "double arrows" that are always there and just go and buy an extended battery or stick with a regular phone I suggest a razr, mine lasts for like 3 days with out charging lol.

P.S. Make sure your q is updated ...ive noticed a significant difference with batter life after i just put the new update on it.

umm sorry to tell you but my q lasts for 24 hours easily! I use the web and all the other apps as well as talking on it plenty. Here is the deal, when you first got your battery did you follow the simple instructions of charging it for 12 hours or whatever it says before you use it???
