Hmm... that's the second time that I heard this... I haven't heard anything from Verizon about "locking down" a folder. But then again I couldn't be surprised it this is a ploy to get more users to download their expensive ringtones. Does it just give you a circle with a line through it, or does an error come up?
I tried your instructions and explorer would not allow me to drag and drop the files. Has this feature been deactivated by Verizon?
I've got Verizon and could drag/drop in a 2Mb .wma file without a problem. The file I chose is probably too much (over 2 minutes) for a good ringtone, but it worked without an issue/error.
