I have a Motorola Q on Qwest, and naturally after realizing that we have internet connectivity, qwest gets off the phone with me and tells me it's a Microsoft ActiveSync issue.
This is the deal. The internet is functioning, I have my Exchange Server information in their correctly, but it will not sync.
Are you trying to sync remotely or with your Q hooked to your PC? I assume you mean remote sync. If this is the case, and your internet works on the Q, then Qwest is probably right. There are several possible reasons as to why your Q is not syncing.
First, your Exchange Administrator would have to have enabled "remote activesync" on the server. This is a matter of checking a box on the server's setup screen but if the box is not checked, you're out of luck.
Secondly, some Exchange admins only allow webmail access to the Exchange server if you are not on the work network.
Sometimes the Exchange server is only accessable remotely if you have established a VPN connection to your work's network.
Some Exchange servers have a different address to access them when you are outside the work network.
Basically what you need to do is contact your Exchange administrator to ensure that you are using the correct settings. If the internet connection is working on the Q, then Qwest has done their part and can't really help you beyond that.
You apply them by pressing Start then Settings. Choose Home Screen. Change the Home screen layout to the name of the theme. Change the Color scheme and the Background image to default.
